School teachers, staff, and community members are invited to attend a School Gardens Outdoor Classroom workshop on Thursday, Oct 12 from 4 to 6 pm at the Spooner Elementary School, in Spooner WI. The workshop is free and open to the public.
Invited guest speaker is Dr. Veronica Justen, UW-River Falls Crops and Soils professor and NW Wis. Regional coordinator for the Wisconsin School Garden Network.
The workshop will include a visit to the Spooner Elementary School Garden, and highlight tools and resources for successful school gardens, and include discussions on how school gardens can support teachers and enhance student learning.
