On Sunday 11/13/16 at 6:41 p.m. the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a person possibly yelling for help in a wooded area near McGraw Road in the Town of Bass Lake. Sawyer County Deputies, assisted by a LCO Tribal Police Department Officer, responded to the scene. The area was subsequently searched by approximately 50 people including Sawyer County Deputies, the LCO PD Officer, a Wisconsin DNR Warden, Sawyer County Search & Rescue members, and members of the Bass Lake Fire Department, the Stone Lake Fire Department and the Town of Hayward Fire Department. No missing/endangered person was located during the search.
