RUSK COUNTY - Authorities have launched an extensive search effort to locate Scott Link, a 61-year-old area resident, and are asking for the public’s help in locating him, according to a press release from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday May 13, 2024 Scott Link, age 61 from the Chetek area, Town of Rusk, County of Rusk was reported missing by his family.
Since receiving notice he was missing, the Rusk County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with Chetek Fire Dept &Dive Team, Weyerhaeuser Fire Dept, New Auburn Fire Dept, Bruce Fire Dept, Cameron Fire Dept, WI DNR, WI State Patrol and Sawyer County Search & Rescue, have been working diligently to locate Mr. Link. The search is taking place by foot, air and water with the use of ground searches, drones, planes and the Chetek Fire Department Dive team.
Through investigation and search of Mr. Link's residence and property, it is believed he left his home late Friday (05/10) evening, or early Saturday morning (05/11). The attire, direction and mode of transportation for Mr. Link remains unknown at this time.
