SAWYER COUNTY — Criminal charges are filed against a Sawyer County man after investigators allegedly discovered sexually explicit images of children on a cellular device seized during the execution of a search warrant at a rural residence.
According to the criminal complaint, the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, assisted by the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office, carried out the warrant on February 25, 2026, at a property on Applebee Road in Exeland, Wisconsin, locating a cellphone that allegedly contained sexually explicit material involving young children. Scott Walters, 43, was arrested and charged with multiple felony counts for possession of child pornography.
