On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, the Cumberland Police Department with the assistance of the Barron County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) served a search warrant at 2055 9th Street, Cumberland. This search warrant stemmed from an investigation in the City of Cumberland where an electronic device was used to take video inside a tanning booth in the City of Cumberland.

As a result of the search warrant and investigation, Randy J Schamberger, 42 of Cumberland, was taken into custody and is being held in the Barron County Jail on a misdemeanor charge of Invasion of Privacy and a felony charge of Representations Depicting Nudity.

While this case remains active at this time, the victims in this case have been contacted and we are trying to determine the length of time Mr. Schamberger has been using this device. If more images are found we will attempt to notify the additional victims.

At this time, we know of eight victims.
