SPOONER, WI — 20 years ago Kwik Trip opened its first store in Spooner, WI. This week, Kwik Trip will be opening its second Spooner location.
This Thursday, November 3rd, at 5a, the new Kwik Trip store (aka 'Kwik Trip South') located at N4809 US 63 — just a short distance away from the current location (aka 'Kwik Trip North') located at the US 63 and WIS 70 intersection — will be open for business.
A Grand opening is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 10a. Representatives from Kwik Trip and Spooner community will be in attendance for the ribbing-cutting ceremony. The public is also welcome to attend.
‘Kwik Trip South’ will be open 24 hours a day and is a 3rd generation store, according to a representative from Kwik Trip who spoke recently spoke with DrydenWire about the opening. “Not only will there be softer colors, but this 3rd generation store will also be state-of-the-art.”
According to the rep, this will especially be true in regard to their foods and take-home meals program — including their fried chicken program. With a much larger kitchen for prep work, additional freezer and cooler space, this 9,000-square-foot location will be much more than just grabbing a quick soda after filling up at the pump.
Speaking of pumps, aside from its main canopy for regular gas, the new location also sports a separate diesel canopy.
