MADISON – Senator Patty Schachtner (D-Somerset) is pleased to announce she has been selected as a Friend of Public Health by the Wisconsin Association of Local Health
Departments and Boards (WALHDAB) and the Wisconsin Public Health Association (WPHA).
“As a legislator and local health official, I am committed to advocating for policies that improve the health and wellbeing of our community. The current public health crisis has demonstrated how important our public health systems are to all of us. I am proud to continue my advocacy for health equity and access throughout the 10th Senate District and the state of Wisconsin,” stated Senator Schachtner. “I am honored to receive this acknowledgement of my support for programs that impact public health including: access to affordable housing, early childhood education, and income stability and employment.”
WPHA and WALHDAB represent over 1,200 public health professionals in communities across Wisconsin, striving to prevent, promote, and protect the citizens of the state.
State Senator Patty Schachtner proudly represents Wisconsin’s tenth senate district with 178,250 constituents. The district covers parts of Burnett, Dunn, Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties.
