Sex Offender to be Released in Ladysmith

LADYSMITH -- Ladysmith Chief of Police Allen Lobermeier announces the release of Cory Woodmansee on Friday, October 06, 2017, from the custody of the Department of Corrections.  Woodmansee is a convicted sex offender who has been identified by professionals within the Department of Corrections as a person who may present a risk to re-offend.  A decision to notify the Ladysmith Community of Woodmansee’s release has been made by members of a core team that review Special Sex Offender Bulletin Notifications forwarded by the Department of Corrections.  Members of the Rusk County Core Team are comprised of local Law Enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, Crime Victim Service Office, the Department of Corrections, local Probation Agents, and a Health and Human Services Representative.

Woodmansee remains under the close supervision of local Probation Agents.  Woodmansee is also required to follow specific and detailed rules prescribed by DOC including no unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with victim, no alcohol, no illegal narcotics, not entering liquor establishments, cooperate with electronic monitoring, a lifetime registration with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program, and meets the criteria for lifetime GPS.  Woodmansee will be residing at 402 W Fritz Ave in Ladysmith.
