RUSK COUNTY (DrydenWire) - A two-day jury trial on a sexual assault case filed against Josiah Leisner, age 43, in 2023 in Rusk County, has resulted in an acquittal of the sexual assault charge against him. The remaining charges against him were dismissed.
Josiah and his wife Danielle each received criminal charges following an investigation by Rusk County authorities into allegations that Josiah had sexually assaulted a child under the age of 13 multiple times, and that Danielle was aware and did not intervene.
Online court records indicate that the case against Danielle is still proceeding.
