It is with sincere gratitude that Washburn County Emergency Management wishes to THANK the Shell Lake Police Department Foundation for their generous donation of $500.00 towards the build-out of the Washburn County Incident Command Post (ICP) - Communications Trailer.
The funds were raised during the “Back The Badge 5K Dash” in Shell Lake on Saturday, September 14, 2019 and will be used to purchase necessary radio equipment.
Once completed, the Incident Command Post will provide much-needed radio communication support for Police/Fire/EMS during emergencies and disasters, as well as a place to make command decisions from.
Support for this project has been wonderful! Additional communication equipment is necessary to complete the final phase of the project and therefore, additional funding sources will continue to be sought and are greatly appreciated.
