Shell Lake/Spooner Masonic Lodge: 68 Years of Continued Boy Scout Troop Support

This is the 68th year the Shell Lake/Spooner Masonic Lodge has been honored to sponsor Boy Scout Troop 51 from Shell Lake. The Shell Lake/Spooner Masons not only provide a permanent meeting and storage place for Boy Scout Troop 51, they also contribute the full amount for their annual charter fee.

Masonry (also known as Freemasonry) is the world’s first and largest fraternal organization.  Masonry is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to help make the world a better place. Through our culture of philanthropy, we make a profound difference for our families, our communities, and for each other. Included in these programs are help for families of our deployed military, scholarships, support for youth, medical research, and children’s hospitals.  Masons champion the heroes of our society such as veterans, teachers, police and first responders.

The next event the Masons will be hosting, is an “ALL YOU CAN EAT SMELT/FISH FRY” on Friday April 27th from 4-7(or until the fish is gone) at the Masonic Lodge in Shell Lake. All profits going to local High School Scholarships.

For more information about the Mason’s, the upcoming Smelt Fry, or if you are interested in becoming a member, please contact: Joe Althaus at jalthaus@live.com
