Sheriff Dryden Announces New K-9 To Begin Patrols

(Washburn County Sheriff's Office News Release) Our new K9 will be patrolling in the county next week. Onyx is fully trained and certified for Police K-9 work. Deputy Harrington still has some training to do with Onyx for drug related work, by the end of the year their training will be complete. We are extremely excited about getting our K-9 out and about.

We are exceptionally pleased with all the contributions that you folks gave to support our new K-9. We thank all of the businesses and private donations to this cause. Without your support our K-9 would not be a reality in these tough budget times.

We are paying a special tribute to Kevin Kronlund. Kevin and Thea's financial support of our K-9 program, over these many years, has been without question the largest contributors to our K-9 program. In all aspects of law enforcement Kevin was fully supportive of this office and asked nothing in return.

Our new K-9 Squad is a tribute to and in memory of Kevin Kronlund. My memory and history of and with Kevin goes back many years as he supported all the Veterans and their efforts in this county. He was a good friend and always ready to help law enforcement and Veterans and always with a smile.

Thank you Kevin.
