POLK COUNTY -- Authorities in Polk County have released the following update stating that a body has been found which is believed to be missing 58-year-old Michael Minteer who was last seen on Tuesday, September 6th.
On Thursday, September 15, at approximately 4:00 pm, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from several organizations, located the body of a deceased male believed to our missing person.
The deceased was located in a heavily wooded area in the town of Johnstown.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office would like to thank to following agencies for their assistance: Apple River Fire, Turtle Lake Fire, Burnett County Sheriff’s Office, St Croix County Sheriff’s Office, New Richmond Police Department, Wisconsin DNR, K9 Response Teams, Johnstown officials, and the Polk County Medical examiners office.
