POLK COUNTY -- The Court has ordered a signature bond for Earl P. Nick, age 60, on charges of child sexual assault and sexual assault of a person with an intellectual disability that have been filed against him in Polk County Circuit Court.

A criminal complaint has been filed against Earl alleging that between October 2013 and October 2015 he committed Class B Felony 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault - Sexual Contact With a Child Under Age 13 (referred to in the complaint as Minor Victim 1). The criminal complaint also alleges that between September 2020 and March 2022, Earl committed Class C Felony Second Degree Sexual Assault of a Person “who suffers from a mental deficiency which renders that person temporarily or permanently incapable of appraising the person's conduct and the defendant knew of such condition.”
