UPDATE: Victim Identified In Fatal Washburn County Crash

Washburn County Sheriff Dennis Stuart has released the name of the person that died in a single-vehicle crash on Saturday night. 

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Justin Andrea of Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

WASHBURN COUNTY — A single-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday night, just north of Sarona, Wisconsin resulting in one fatality.

Washburn County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a report of a “one car accident” at 9:29p on June 29, 2019, according to the Washburn County dispatch call log.

Washburn County Sheriff Dennis Stuart stated to DrydenWire.com earlier this evening that the crash occurred near the intersection of Cranberry Drive and Highway 253. Sheriff Stuart said the victim was deceased upon emergency personnel’s arrival.  

The vehicle was heading northbound on Highway 253 when it left the roadway and crashed, according to the Sheriff.

Sheriff Stuart said that the name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending notification of the family, adding: “Our thoughts and prayers are with the deceased’s family at this time.”

The incident is currently under investigation by the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office.
