WASHBURN COUNTY — A Spooner, WI, contractor who was previously convicted in a Sawyer County theft case has been sentenced in a separate criminal felony case in Washburn County Circuit Court stemming from allegations that he accepted nearly $14,000 for a home improvement project that was never completed and failed to return the homeowner's down payment.
John Green, Jr. (28) was sentenced in Washburn County on July 27, 2026, to an amended misdemeanor charge, avoiding a scheduled jury trial in the case.
