Spooner Family Involved in 3-Vehicle Crash in St. Cloud, MN

A Spooner family was involved in a 3-vehicle crash that occurred in St. Cloud, MN on Friday, August 11, 2017.

According to reports from St. Cloud, MN area news media, Kevin Nelson, of Spooner, WI was stopped at the intersection of Highway 15 South and 44th Ave. in St. Cloud, MN, when another vehicle crashed into his vehicle from behind.

One of the reports stated that Adam Nelson, of Spooner, WI, and brother of Kevin's, was the driver of the vehicle, however, Kevin Nelson stated to DrydenWire.com this evening that he was, in fact, driving the vehicle at the time it was rear-ended.

Alexandria (Xan) Nelson, of Spooner, WI and manager of The Dock Coffee, was one of the passengers in the vehicle which was rear-ended, along with Adam Nelson and 2 preschool age boys.

"Our children were in the truck and they didn't suffer any injuries," Kevin said. "Which is amazing!"

The Nelsons Ford F-150 pickup was allegedly rear-ended by a Buick LeSabre, driven by David Boushek of Waite Park, MN, causing Nelson's pickup to rear-end a Toyota Rav4, driven by Vicky Wyffels, of Willmar, MN.

Boushek and Xan were transported for medical care following the crash.

Boushek's injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening; his current condition is not known to DrydenWire.com at this time.

Xan suffered only minor injuries, some of which were a result of the deployment of the air bag in the Ford pickup. Kevin Nelson advised DrydenWire.com that she is recovering just fine.

No injuries were reported to Wyffels.
