Spooner Health Now Seeking A Full-Time Radiological Technologist

SPOONER, WI – Spooner Health is now seeking candidates for a full-time Radiological Technologist.

The Radiological Technologist works under the supervision of the radiologist to provide high-quality exams. Responsibilities include taking complete patient histories, using proper protocols to obtain high-quality images in general radiography and CT. Shifts are Days and PM's. Sharing call, weekend, and holiday rotations. Proficiency in both general X-ray and CT is preferred, but training in CT is available. Candidates must be registered as a mammography technologist or willing to undergo mammography training.

Requirements

  • Assess developmental needs of patients from infants to geriatrics and adjust care accordingly.
  • Charge exams appropriately and ensure the care, maintenance, and safe handling of equipment and patients.
  • Share daily working hours, on-call responsibilities, and holiday coverage with other staff technologists and the director.
  • Organize assigned work and perform it with quality, recording necessary history for diagnosis.
  • Prepare rooms for scheduled exams and necessary contrast agents.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, check and replenish supplies, and order supplies as needed.
  • Schedule x-ray exams, ultrasounds, CT scans, echocardiograms, and MRI.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to HIPAA protocols and uphold compliance objectives.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and promote professional behavior in the workplace and community.
  • Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate flexibility when requested to come in on a scheduled day off.

Licensure

  • Must be a licensed Radiology Technologist with the State of Wisconsin.

Other

  • Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
