Spooner Health Now Seeking A Full-Time RN House Supervisor

SPOONER, WI — Spooner Health is now seeking a full-time RN House Supervisor (7p-7a).

The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) who serves as the onsite administrative leader during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care throughout the organization. This individual supports hospital operations by coordinating patient flow, managing staffing needs, responding to emergent situations, and serving as a resource and mentor to clinical staff.

The Clinical House Supervisor plays a key role in supporting employees, providers, patients, and families while upholding Spooner Health’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Standards of Excellence.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Provides clinical leadership across departments to ensure quality care and service excellence.
  • Facilitates patient flow including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Serves as a liaison among clinical teams, support departments, and hospital leadership.
  • Leads emergency response coordination during assigned shifts.
  • Addresses staffing needs and assigns responsibilities based on skill level and scope of practice.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and assisting with ADLs.
  • Coaches and supports staff, participates in performance feedback, and promotes teamwork.
  • Participates in policy review, safety initiatives, and performance improvement projects.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.
  • Maintains a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrates understanding of hospital policies, regulations, and documentation standards.
