Spooner Health Now Seeking Candidate For APNP Hospitalist

SPOONER, WI – Spooner Health is now seeking candidates for Full-time APNP Hospitalist.

Duties of the position include:

  • Evaluates patient care utilizing nursing process.
  • Administers nursing care to patients.
  • Communicates with family and health professionals regarding care of patients.
  • Responsible for the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and employees assigned to the patient care units.
  • Provides professional growth and development of nursing staff.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Active Wisconsin R.N. License: Eligibility to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
  • National Certification: Certification (e.g., ANCC or AANP) as an APNP with recertification every 5 years under regulating agencies’ guidelines.
  • Current Prescriptive Authority in Wisconsin: APNP certification and DEA, obtaining 8 contact hours per year in clinical pharmacology/therapeutics relevant to APNP’s area of practice.
  • Current Certifications: BLS and ACLS.
  • Hospital Privileges: Required
