Spooner Health Now Seeking Candidate For Director Of Emergency Services, Registered Nurse

SPOONER, WI – Spooner Health is now seeking candidates for Director of Emergency Services, Registered Nurse.

Duties of the position include:

  • Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational and developmental goals and objectives.
  • Provides input and standards in formulating patient care policy and procedures for the emergency department; works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
  • Supervises all nursing activities related to patient care and sets standards for accurate reporting and recording of patient’s symptoms, reactions and progress.
  • Organizes patient care and ensures continuity of care based on knowledge of clinical nursing needs of patients.
  • Assists nursing personnel in assessing patient/family status to plan nursing care.

Requirements of the position include:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Licensure: Licensed and currently registered as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Experience:
    • Two to five years of clinical experience, preferably in a supervisory nursing position.
    • Experience in Emergency Services.
    • Experience in a rural setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities; able to work under stressful situations; and possesses good oral and written communication skills.
  • Certifications: Current certification in BLS, ACLS, CALS with Trauma Module, and ENA certifications.
  • Maintenance: Maintain required licensure, registration, and/or certification as required.
