SPOONER, WI -- In accordance with Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers’ request and with the increase in testing supplies and capacity, Spooner Health can now do curbside testing of anyone with any symptoms of COVID-19 through Essentia Health; symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, fatigue, body or muscle aches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of smell, or loss of taste.
With this further expansion, any patient who meets at least one of the COVID-19 symptoms can get curbside testing at Spooner Health through Essentia Health. You do not need to be a patient of Essentia Health to get screened for COVID-19.
There are two ways to start the screening process:

A triage nurse will determine your next steps upon completion of screening.
With guidance from Washburn County Public Health, it is still recommended that the public practices social distancing and good hand hygiene as well as monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19.
