SPOONER, Wis. -- Spooner Health would like to invite the community to its 34th annual Health Fair on Saturday, August 4 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. This free community event features chair massages, health and information booths, blood pressure screenings, a kid’s corner as well as a “Hiding in Place” room where attendees can uncover the various possibilities of where friends and family member could be hiding drugs.
Attendees can also receive a free cholesterol profile and blood glucose screening. Spooner Health just advises those who would like to receive one to have no food or drink except water after midnight. A voucher will be available for health fair participants who would prefer to have the screening done on a different date.
Spooner Health in Collaboration with Essentia Health Announces New Pain Management Services
SPOONER, Wis. -- On April 26, 2018, Spooner Health in collaboration with Essentia Health will add pain management services to its comprehensive list of healthcare offerings. The new pain management services include epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, facet joint injections, sacroiliac joint injections and sympathetic nerve blocks to help minimize chronic or acute back and neck pain.
Dr. Mark Seidelmann of Essentia Health will begin seeing patients as a visiting specialist to Spooner Health. Patients who are interested in seeing Dr. Seidelmann for pain management services should talk to their primary care doctor for a referral. Dr. Mark Seidelmann received his Medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minn. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Seidelmann is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. He has been employed with Essentia Health since 1999.
