WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) – The Court has sentenced Darryl Cole, age 69, of Spooner, WI for 7th Offense OWI from a 2024 incident in Washburn County after the Washburn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an intoxicated driver driving into a fence. Cole allegedly did not know where he was, and while being transported to a hospital, was yelling incoherent statements and making screaming noises.
Cole appeared most recently on March 24, 2025, for a sentencing hearing on convictions of Class F Felony Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence-7th Offense, and Class G Felony Possess Firearm-Convicted of a Felony.
