Two Arrested After Drug Paraphernalia Located in Diaper Bag

On April 22, 2018, a Spooner Officer was dispatched to the Spooner ER for a suicidal male. During a crisis assessment, the officer had contact with the man's wife and infant grandchild and observed indicators of possible drug use by the male's wife. Spooner Officer Peterson and K9 Bleu were called to assist.

K9 Bleu was deployed around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of controlled substances in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, male and female, Officers located multiple gem bags containing suspected methamphetamine and suspected drug paraphernalia. One of the items of paraphernalia was located in a diaper bag.

The male was evaluated by crisis services and cleared. The male and female were placed under arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

After a medical evaluation, the infant was placed in a foster home.
