The Spooner Police Department is advising city residents today of an apparent rash of vehicle break-ins in the community.

SPD has received reports of items stolen from within unlocked vehicles. You can potentially avoid this crime of opportunity by securing your property.
Please be sure to report any and all suspicious activity to SPD, 715-635-3527. "I didn't want to waste your time", or "I didn't think it was anything." These are common statements officers hear while taking reports of this nature. This type of illegal activity may be thwarted when officers are called to investigate strange noises, motion lights activated, suspicious vehicle in the area, suspicious person in the area, or unusual behavior in pets.
