WASHBURN COUNTY (DrydenWire) – The resolution of a criminal theft case in Washburn County has resulted in restitution for the victim merchant.
A call for assistance from law enforcement regarding shoplifting in Spooner, WI, quickly escalated into a tense encounter on February 14, 2025.
Officers responded to reports of a man stealing frozen food items and soon located the suspect, Levi Jacobson, age 28, walking along a nearby trail. Officers then discovered an outstanding warrant for Jacobson’s arrest and took him into custody.
At a recent court hearing, Washburn County Judge Angeline Winton accepted a disposition to the case as proposed by Washburn County District Attorney Aaron Marcoux.
