The Spooner Area Youth Hocke Association says that the Spooner "Squirts" are State Champions, according to a Facebook post on the SAYHA page.
The Spooner Squirts have had great opportunities this year to grow as a team, excel in the 4A division, and have exceedingly great moments because of the teamwork by players, coaches and parents. Congratulations, SAYHA Squirts! We couldn't be more proud of you and are so THRILLED to bring the banner home!
SAYHA is also asking citizens to join them in bringing the team home tonight between 6-7p tonight by lining both sides of the street near the Spooner Civic Center.
The team, according to the post, will be escorted by the Spooner Police Department.
