Lisa Tijerina, formerly of Siren, WI, and most recently of Spooner, WI, appeared on August 14, 2017, in Burnett County Circuit Court regarding methamphetamine related criminal charges filed against her in multiple felony cases.
According to a criminal complaint filed against Tijerina on June 7, 2017, she had contact with the St. Croix Tribal Police Department on May 25, 2017, during a K9 stop. A K9 narcotics sniff was conducted on the vehicle that Tijerina was in, along with 4 other occupants (these other occupants were not identified in the criminal complaint).
After all, occupants had exited the vehicle, a search was conducted. Officers located a purse containing Tijerina's identification along with 3 diabetic needles. Each of the needles contained blood like liquid. A test conducted on the needles gave a positive indication for methamphetamine.
Tijerina allegedly admitted to the officers that she knew about the needles being in her purse. On March 2, 2017, the Court had placed Tijerina on a signature bail bond with the condition that she was not allowed to possess or use drugs or substances unless prescribed by a physician.
Charges of Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Class H Felony Bail Jump, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia were filed against Tijerina stemming from the June 7, 2017, incident.
Public record indicates that Tijerina also has 3 other open criminal cases in Burnett County Circuit Court.
DrydenWire.com previously reported that Tijerina was charged along with 3 other individuals following a drug bust in Burnett County when a theft complaint on February 22, 2017, at the Holiday South convenience store in Siren, WI led officers to a residence on State Road 70 apparently occupied at that time by Tijerina, James Bibeau, Darrell Higgins and Kathryn St. Aubin.
Investigators located multiple gems packs containing methamphetamine in the residence, along with many a bong, a glass pipe, multiple hypodermic needles, marijuana cigarettes, and a bag of marijuana seeds. Felony Charges were filed against all 4 individuals. Tijerina was charged with Class H Felony Bail Jump (2 counts), Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Misdemeanor Possession of THC, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following that incident.
The cases filed against Bibeau, St. Aubin, and Higgins are still pending in Burnett County Circuit Court as well.
An arrest warrant was issued for Darrell Higgins on August 2, 2017, when he failed to make an appearance at a scheduled court hearing.
Also on March 30, 2017, a criminal complaint was filed charging Tijerina once again with Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine; and on November 15, 2016, a criminal complaint was filed charging Tijerina with Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Details of these 2 cases are not known to DrydenWire.com at this time.
