Spooner Woman Ordered To Pay Restitution On Forgery Case

SAWYER COUNTY -- Cheryl Denomie, of Spooner, WI, has been sentenced on her criminal charges in Sawyer County Circuit Court.

DrydenWire.com previously reported that Cheryl was charged with Felony Forgery and Felony Bail Jumping.

According to a criminal complaint, Denomie was charged criminally after an investigation allegedly revealed that in January of 2017 she had cashed stolen personal checks.

In a second court case filed against Denomie, she was charged with Felony Bail Jumping following an incident in Washburn County that occurred in November of 2017 during which Denomie became intoxicated and caused damage to the residence where she was, including breaking a window.

Denomie was charged in Washburn County Circuit Court and in April of 2018 she plead guilty to a charge of Misdemeanor Criminal Damage to Property in Washburn County Circuit Court and was ordered to pay a fine of $516.00. A second charge of Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct was dismissed but read in.

At a recent hearing in Sawyer County Circuit Court Denomie entered a plea of No Contest to reduced charges of Misdemeanor Theft and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.

The Court ordered a withheld sentence with 2 years of probation. Denomie was also ordered to pay over $2,500 in restitution.
