BURNETT COUNTY — A Spooner, WI, woman has pleaded guilty to drug-related charges that were filed against her in Burnett County Circuit Court.
A tense encounter with law enforcement in August 2025 led to the discovery of suspected fentanyl and raised concerns about the welfare of a newborn child. Dylan Mccarthy, 27, formerly of Spooner, WI, was arrested and charged. His charges are proceeding in Burnett County.
Subsequently, charges were also filed against Savahna Vanderbeek, 25. She appeared on March 9, 2026, and was sentenced on convictions from her case.
