NWS - Heavy snow is expected across northwest Wisconsin today into Monday. Snow will begin from south to north this morning and will become heavy this afternoon into tonight, especially east of Bayfield and Hayward.
Snowfall totals of 6-12” are likely, with some locally higher totals possible in northern Iron county. There will be a fairly sharp cutoff in snowfall amounts in Bayfield, Douglas, Sawyer, and Washburn counties, with less snow the further west you go.
Totals in these areas will range from 4-8” in Bayfield and Hayward to 2-4” in Siren and less than one inch in Superior.
In addition, winds will be gusty from the north, which will cause low visibilities and possibly some downed branches or powerlines.
