WASHBURN COUNTY -- The VFW–Springbrook Post is coming together to support one of our own — our bartender and dear friend, Christine, who is courageously battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Christine has been a steady, smiling presence behind our bar, supporting our veterans, our post, and our community for over a year. Even now, while undergoing intense treatment and traveling for medical care, she continues to show up and work two days a week — a true testament to her grit, heart, and loyalty.
Join us Sunday, July 27 from Noon to 3 PM at the Springbrook VFW for a day of live music by Barry Nelson, smoked pork with all the fixings, and a huge variety of raffles, silent auctions, and 50/50s — all to help offset the mounting out-of-pocket costs of travel, lodging, pain therapies, and missed work.
Let’s rally around Christine the way she’s always shown up for us.
