POLK COUNTY — The St. Croix Falls School District is proud to announce that Varsity Wrestling Coach Joe Raygor has been named the 2024–25 NFHS Section 4 Boys Wrestling Coach of the Year, a prestigious honor recognizing excellence in coaching, leadership, and impact on student-athletes. The WIAA announced the award on Facebook on January 22, 2026.
Coach Raygor was recognized for his dedication to the sport of wrestling and his unwavering commitment to athlete development at all levels. From youth wrestling programs to middle school and high school teams, and coaching both boys and girls, Raygor’s influence reaches far beyond the mat.
“If you’ve spent any time around our wrestling program, you know that Coach Joe Raygor is the definition of all-in,” said Tara Rose, St. Croix Falls Athletic Director, who presented the award. “He meets athletes where they are, makes competition fun, and still holds them to a championship standard—both on the mat and in the classroom.”
That championship standard has translated into exceptional success, including Boys Team State Runner-Up honors in 2024 and Boys Team State Championships in 2025, along with coaching numerous individual state champions and state place winners.
While the accolades are impressive, Rose emphasized that Raygor’s greatest impact is the culture he has built within the program.
“More importantly, it shows up in the culture he’s created and the athletes he continues to develop every day into great human beings,” Rose said.
“From all of us in Saints Nation, we are incredibly thankful to have Joe Raygor leading our wrestling program,” Rose added. “We are proud that others are recognizing just how outstanding of a coach—and person—he is.”
The St. Croix Falls School District congratulates Coach Raygor on this well-deserved honor and thanks him for his continued dedication to student success.
