In accordance with WI Statute the St. Croix Falls Police Department is releasing video from the unfortunate officer involved shooting on August 8th of this year resulting in the death of a suspect.
Police were dispatched to a domestic call at the Dalles House Motel 726 S Vincent Street in St. Croix Falls on August 8th after a female had called for help stating her boyfriend had a knife.Two St. Croix Falls Police Officers made contact with the suspect inside a motel room. The suspect exited the room holding a knife in a threatening manner and refused commands to drop the knife. The suspect then came at a St. Croix Falls Officer who was forced to shoot the suspect as the Officer feared for his life.
The severely injured female inside the room was airlifted to a trauma center. She was suffering from several stab wounds and had lost a significant amount of blood.

The officer’s use of force in this case was deemed necessary and appropriate by the Burnett County District Attorney’s Office.
