POLK COUNTY — The St. Croix Falls School District has been given a $1,851.25 donation from the proceeds of the 2025 Polk County Suicide Awareness Walk. The funds were provided through the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County and will support the district’s ongoing efforts to promote student mental health and suicide prevention.
The donation represents contributions from several community partners and event participants, including Durex Products, Nelson Construction Services, Polk County Abstract & Title, Tangen Drug, and generous walk-day donors. Additional support was provided by the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County.
“These funds will directly enhance our programs that promote mental well-being among students,” said Craig Broeren, Superintendent of the St. Croix Falls School District. “We’re grateful for the generosity of our community and for the Mental Health Task Force’s continued commitment to supporting youth mental health across Polk County.”
The St. Croix Falls School District remains dedicated to creating a supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The district will use these funds to expand and strengthen initiatives that help students build resilience, foster positive relationships, and access mental health resources when needed.
The district extends its sincere thanks to the Mental Health Task Force of Polk County and to all who participated in the 2025 Suicide Awareness Walk for their generous contributions and shared commitment to student wellness.
