SAWYER COUNTY — A stolen pickup truck reported in Sawyer County was located in Winter, WI, through Flock camera technology, leading to the arrests of Ricky Lee Clarence Cox and Sebastian Lee Thompson. The May 2026 investigation began after a Hayward work truck was reported stolen.
Thompson is facing new misdemeanor charges for allegedly being an accomplice in the theft, in addition to retail theft charges from a separate matter, and revocation of probation on a previous conviction for misdemeanor battery. DrydenWire previously reported on firearms charges filed against Cox in Sawyer County and those charges are still proceeding, along with new felony charges including Drive or Operate Vehicle without Consent.
