Strohbusch Named to Wisconsin Police Chiefs’ Board of Directors

News Release - The Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association (WCPA) announces the appointment of Clear Lake Police Chief Timothy Strohbusch to its 2017-18 Board of Directors.

WCPA is a statewide organization that provides training and assistance to law enforcement agencies throughout Wisconsin, and among many purposes, serves to be the public voice on social and professional issues for officers statewide.

Strohbusch has been a member of WPCA since 2005. Since that time he’s played a leading role in providing annual training to many of the state’s newest chiefs and sheriffs.

With more than 20 years experience in both urban and rural policing, Strohbusch is a leader amongst his peers, having served as an adjunct instructor of law enforcement topics for both Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) and Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC).

He’s currently the only Polk County officer to have completed Certified Public Manager status through Wisconsin’s Command College Program, and has helped foster new leaders by developing and teaching new curriculum for similar programs statewide.

Strohbusch is at the forefront of community involvement through roles such as Past President of the Community Referral Agency advocating for domestic abuse victims and services, member of the Polk County Human Services Board, involvement through Polk County’s Local Emergency Response Committee, and more.

“While much of WCPA’s membership is from the southern part of our state, I look forward to bringing a voice to agencies in our area,” says Strohbusch. “I’m honored to join such an outstanding group of leaders to help address the needs of law enforcement and the communities they serve.”
