Superintendent Candidate Diane Tremblay

Superintendent Candidate Diane Tremblay

With great enthusiasm, I welcome the opportunity to introduce myself, and my family, to the Spooner Community, this coming Monday evening.  I grew up on the Chippewa flowage in Northern Wisconsin at our family business, Twin Bay Resort.  I attended school in the Hayward Community Schools and have been employed in the district since 1994. I have been fortunate to serve the district as a teacher, department head, coach, grants coordinator and now administrator, leading as a director of district programs and curriculum.

My husband Charles, and four daughters, Chelsea, Alyssabeth, Lauren and Gabrielle are all supporting my ambition to serve the Spooner School District, as your Superintendent.  I welcome the opportunity to join the Spooner family and take a team approach to all challenges that we may encounter. I am committed to providing the Spooner public with effective leadership, and serve as a pillar in the community, as well as in the schools. I am sincerely passionate about educating and inspiring our youth. I strongly believe that every student that enters the doors of our school, comes to us with special gifts. I am committed to helping them grow and prepare to face the challenges in our global society and become productive citizens.

As superintendent I would be able to provide a confident focus on the systemic monitoring of student achievement and district growth. Empowering teachers and continuously improving our culture and climate, in order to inspire leaders within our organization. I would hold a focused concentration on community engagement and team accountability.  Lastly, I would emphasize trust between administration and staff, and between school and community. Together we will create a foundation of transparency, along with responsible finance alignment to strategic planning, for our school and community.

I hope to see you all on Monday evening, so that we may continue this conversation.
