A Comedy with a Murder - by Rob Urbinati

Come to a weekend in an English country manor in 1932, where Edward Bennett, a playwright, and his wife Sorel Bennett, an actress, have fled London for Cookham after a disastrous opening night. Soon various guests arrive unexpectedly – a conservative politician, a fiery socialist, a near-sighted ingenue, a zany modern dancer – each with a long-held secret. When one of the guests is murdered, it’s left to Bridgit, the feisty Irish maid with a macabre interest in homicide, to solve the crime.

Directed by Eva Srubar, a talented local cast, including Rose Bauman, Daniel Hubatch, Miranda Burger, Denny Epple, Larry Werner, Chris Olson, Leila Jenkins, and Olivia Wells bring this zany murder mystery to life at the Quam Theatre in Shell Lake. You won’t want to miss the fun!

“Death by Design” takes the stage at the Erika Quam Memorial Theatre in Shell Lake at 7:00, Thursday through Saturday, October 12, 13, 14 and October 19, 20, 21, and at 2:00 Sunday, October 15 and Sunday, October 22. For reservations call 715-468-4387 or go
