BARRON COUNTY — A traffic stop in the City of Rice Lake on May 18, 2026, around 9:45 PM, led to a major drug seizure, according to the Rice Lake Police Department.
On 5/18/2026, around 9:45 PM, Rice Lake Sgt. Belich conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle within the City.
Throughout this investigation, a search of the vehicle, an apartment, and 3 subjects occurred, leading to the seizure of approximately 138 grams of methamphetamine.
The 3 subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for multiple charges, including the possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine >50g, pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 961.41(1m)(e)4.
All charges have been referred to the Barron County District Attorney’s Office for review, and all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in Court.
