Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Meth Hidden Inside Flashlight

On the early morning of 04/28/2018, K9 Officer Holmes and Inv. Jerdee stopped a vehicle in Danbury for an exhaust violation.

During the stop reasonable suspicion for drug activity was found and K9 Reese was used for a narcotics sniff on the exterior of the vehicle.

K9 Reese “indicated” that she smelled an odor of narcotics coming from inside the vehicle.

The vehicle was searched and methamphetamine was found hidden inside of a flashlight.

The driver was arrested and a pipe used to smoke marijuana was recovered from the suspect.
