CLARK COUNTY — At 9:48 AM on Saturday January 05, 2019 a crash occurred on Berglin Avenue at South of Pine Road in CLARK County near OWEN.

The crash involved 1 fatality.

The details of the crash are as follows:

At approximately 9:48 a.m. on January 5, 2109, the Wisconsin State Patrol received a report of a train versus automobile crash at the crossing located at Berglin Avenue, South of Pine Road in Clark County. An automobile attempted to cross the railroad track and was struck by a Canadian National Freight train. The driver of the auto was identified as George Peter Louis, age 87 of Owen, WI. Louis was fatally injured.

The train crew was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
