Two Men Sentenced Regarding 28 Grams Of Meth Seized During Traffic Stop

BURNETT COUNTY — The Court has sentenced Robert Davis and Bruce Leonardi for their charges stemming from a traffic stop in Burnett County in June of 2017.

DrydenWire.com reported on September 27, 2017 that when Law Enforcement conducted the traffic stop they located over 28 grams of methamphetamine.

An Officer patted Davis down after he exited the vehicle and located a bag in the front pocket of Davis’ bib overalls. A bottle containing 2 grams of methamphetamine was found on Leonardi.

Davis was charged with Class D Felony Possession with Intent to Deliver Other Schedule I Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, more than 10 grams but less than 50 grams. Online circuit court records show that his charge was amended to Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine.

At a recent hearing in Burnett County Circuit Court, the Court ordered a withheld sentence for Davis; 3 years of probation with 1 year of conditional jail time. Conditions of Davis’ probation will require him to be subject to testing, an AODA assessment, and complete compliance with all recommendations.

Bruce Leonardi


Charges of Class I Felony Possession of Methamphetamine were filed against Leonardi. Upon completion of a programming, Leonardi’s charges were dismissed, according to online circuit court records.
