Two Arrested For Suspected Possession Of Child Pornography

RUSK COUNTY — Two individuals were arrested for suspected possession of child porn in Rusk County on Thursday, July 11, 2019, according to a press release from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.

(Press Release) — The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office today announced that two individuals, Dennis L. Berthold and David M. Johnson, were arrested for suspected possession of child pornography in Rusk County on July 11, 2019. The two cases are unrelated.

On July 11, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Mr. Berthold’s residence and took him into custody. Mr. Berthold was booked in the Rusk County Jail on July 11.

Also on July 11, law enforcement executed a search warrant on Mr. Johnson’s residence and took him into custody. Mr. Johnson was booked in the Rusk County Jail on July 11.

As in any criminal proceeding, Mr. Berthold and Mr. Johnson are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Both individuals are appearing for bond hearings today.

This investigation is being led by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at DOJ and the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office.
