On December 6th, 2016, in Barron County Circuit Court, Tanner Nadeau, of Dallas, WI, received a sentence of 3 years in Wisconsin State Prison for trafficking methamphetamine in Barron County.
According to documents received by DrydenWire.com via public records request, Nadeau's charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by Barron County Sheriff's Department Investigators in the beginning of January 2015. A Confidential Informant assisted the Sheriff's Department by participating in controlled buys of methamphetamine from Tanner Nadeau and his co-defendant, Jenny Kelch. One of these buys occurred in Almena, WI; another occurred in Turtle Lake, WI; and a third occurred in Cumberland, WI. It was confirmed by the CI that Kelch aided in facilitating two of the controlled buys.
Public record shows that a Criminal Complaint was filed by the Barron County District Attorneys Office on February 23rd, 2015, charging both Kelch and Nadeau with delivery of methamphetamine, Party to a Crime, a Class I Felony. Nadeau also received a second charge of delivery of methamphetamine, without the P.T.A.C. Enhancer, making it a Class F Felony.

Nadeau received further criminal charges in Barron County in July of 2015 for possession of methamphetamine while he was in the custody of the Barron County Sheriff's Department. According to that Criminal Complaint, during a routine search of Nadeau's cell, a Barron County Correctional Officer picked socks up off the floor and when the socks were pulled apart, a baggie containing methamphetamine fell to the floor. Nadeau attempted to grab the baggie but failed; he then proceeded to ask the Correctional Officer to “flush that”, and also asked if the officer could “just get rid of that”. When Nadeau was informed that he would be subject to further searches, he refused to cooperate, became belligerent and swore at the officers.
Public record shows that Nadeau had previously been convicted and sentenced in June of 2014 in Eau Claire County, WI Circuit Court for possession of designer drugs with intent to deliver or distribute, party to a crime; and possession of drug paraphernalia used to manufacture, compound, convert, produce or store methamphetamine. His probation in that sentence was revoked in July of 2015 following his charges in Barron County and in October of 2015 Nadeau was sent to Wisconsin State Prison for 4 years on those Eau Claire County convictions.
Nadeau's initial 3 years of confinement on the Barron County conviction for delivery of methamphetamine, p.t.a.c., will be concurrent to the prison sentence on his Eau Claire County convictions. He also received a sentence of 1 year in state prison for the Barron County conviction for possession of methamphetamine, which will be concurrent with his other sentences. Upon release from prison, Nadeau will have 3 years of probation under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
In February of 2016, Kelch was sentenced to 3 years of probation in Barron County Circuit Court for two convictions of delivery of methamphetamine, one stemming from the January 2015 controlled buys, the second from a separate Barron County Case stemming from an incident which occurred in February 2015. Kelch also was sentenced to 1 year of concurrent probation for a conviction of Class A misdemeanor criminal damage to property in a fifth Barron County case filed in January 2016.
Kelch received two additional charges of delivery of methamphetamine in 2015; (one was filed in Polk County Circuit Court and the other in Barron County Circuit Court) those were both dismissed.
