*UPDATE* Northbound US 53 traffic is being rerouted onto westbound County B southwest of Spooner to WIS 253. Motorists will follow WIS 253 to northbound US 63 and can return to US 53 via US 63 or by heading east on WIS 70.
Southbound US 53 traffic is being rerouted onto westbound WIS 70 east of Spooner to southbound US 63 to WIS 253. Motorists will turn east on County B to return to US 53.
The Washburn County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency handling the incident.

WASHBURN COUNTY -- The Wisconsin DOT Traffic Management Center says a crash on US 53 in Washburn County has closed US 53 north beyond Town Road because of a crash. US 53 South is also closed beyond Wildcat Rd because of the crash, according to Wisconsin DOT.
The crash occurred at mile marker 162 at 1:43p today, Tuesday, December 2020.
Washburn County Sheriff Dennis Stuart tells DrydenWire that the incident was a single-vehicle rollover crash. Sheriff Stuart also said that the traffic is being diverted at HWY 70 and 253.
