On Sunday, February 12 at 2pm, Faith in Action- Washburn County will host its 12th Annual Valentine Vignette Fundraiser at Spooner Wesleyan Church. Faith in Action (FIA) has been serving local senior adults in need through a network of caring volunteers since 2004. We invite you to bring your Valentine this year to learn more about FIA!
This year’s showcase will kick off an awareness campaign of “Faith in Action Rocks Washburn County…with Open Hearts and Helping Hands.” Longtime emcees Larry Neste and Mike Bitney will host our variety showcase of outstanding local talent. Carol McDowall, Reverend Jack Star and Joe Weiss are just a few of the performers you can expect to see! The audience will be entertained with acts that return each year to delight, and new faces that are bound to impress. The live music will touch on a host of genres and styles, including contemporary, gospel, bluegrass and folk just to name a few. A goodwill offering will benefit the mission of FIA to help further extend the reach of our current volunteer services.
After the audience enjoys the talent showcase, everyone will be invited to stay for sweet treats! You’re sure to find the perfect Valentine present up for bid in the silent auction. Or search among the multitude of chocolate flavors from Mayana Chocolates and beautifully decorated homemade cookies from Jan Masterjohn to find the perfect combination of delightful treats.
