POLK COUNTY -- Authorities in Polk County say that one person is in custody following a shooting in Luck, WI, that has resulted in a death, according to a press release from the Polk County Sheriff's Office (PCSO).
The PCSO said that on October 29th, 2021 at 5p, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office 911 emergency center received a call from an individual that stated there was a gunshot victim at 604 E Butternut Ave in the Village of Luck Wisconsin. Law Enforcement responded to that location and discovered the body of a deceased person. A suspect was also located and taken into custody.
There is no current threat to public safety.
The identity of the deceased person is being withheld at this time pending notification of relatives.
The scene is still under investigation and no further details will be released at this time.
Assisting the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in this case is Luck Police Department, Milltown Police Department, Wisconsin DNR, Polk County Medical Examiners Office, Luck Fire Department, and Northland Ambulance Service.
