SAWYER COUNTY — A Sawyer County homicide case is moving forward after the Hon. Judge John Yackel ruled on the competency of the man accused of carrying out a deadly stabbing in rural Radisson.
A criminal complaint alleges that 37-year-old Yevhen Kravchenko was responsible for the violent December killing of Lynette Coaty. In January 2026, he was ordered to undergo a competency evaluation.
Kravchenko appeared on March 16, 2026, for a competency hearing and a preliminary examination hearing.
